Meet the founder.
Jennifer Flores founded Tanning with Jenny in 2017. What started as a side hustle quickly became a full-time passion as she witnessed more and more women falling in love with their bodies after a gorgeous spray tan.
Before diving into entrepreneurship, Jenny got her degree in Finance and Marketing and worked in insurance sales. After realizing the 9-5 life wasn’t for her, she stumbled into spray tanning while working at a family member’s waxing salon. The obsession with perfecting the perfect airbrush tan led Jenny to create Tanning with Jenny, first a mobile-only service, and now a gorgeous studio in College Park, MD that also offers lash services and more either on site or in-home.
Fun facts about Jenny:
- She’s a single mom of 2
- Her most embarrassing moment of running her business was when her spray tanning gun stopped working half-way through a tanning session. She had to drive an hour just to get the replacement, come back, and finish the job. (Don’t worry - now she is always prepared for ANYTHING!)
- She loves traveling and reading books about self improvement
